Grant-Supported Cyber Review & Improvement
Unlock Enterprise Ireland’s Cyber Security Grant with an Independent Expert
Enterprise Ireland (EI) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have launched a grant scheme to enable EI clients to assess and improve their cyber security.
I personally help you apply for the grant, carry out the independent review myself, and deliver an unbiased, practical action plan.
And if you need help implementing the recommendations, I can lead, guide, or support you all the way.
How the Grants Work
The Enterprise Ireland Cyber Security Review Grant funds an independent review of your current security posture. It covers 80% of the €3,000 cost of the review, meaning you only pay €600.
The review follows a standard format aligned with guidance from the Ireland’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and produces a clear, prioritised action plan.
After the Review, you then may be eligible for the NCSC Cyber Security Improvement Grant to fund priority remediation work (covers up to 80% of your costs, up to a maximum of € 60,000) .
- Independent Review first → Improvement funding second.
- I provide the information you need to apply for the grant, I perform the review, and walk you through the recommendations.
- Optional: I can then help you apply for the NCSC Cyber Improvement Grant , and lead or support your people and IT service providers to implement the recommended improvements.
What I Review
I complete a high-level review across all areas below and then deep-dive into the three to five topics that are most important to your business (based on risk, upcoming changes, or known concerns).
Findings are clearly split into items needing remediation and recommended good practice.

Activities reviewed, good practice observed, and items to fix.
b) Data Backups
Backup scope, frequency, testing, and recovery readiness.
c) Access Management

d) Antivirus
Baseline protection, EDR where relevant, alerting/response.
e) Network Security
Segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access, monitoring.
f) Device Management
Build consistency, encryption, patching, screensavers, USB controls.
g) Cloud Risk
Microsoft 365/Google Workspace/SaaS configuration and common pitfalls.
h) Data Security
Classification, storage, sharing, encryption at rest/in transit.
i) Website & Social Media Security
Public-facing risks, role security, change control, monitoring.
j) Remote Working
Endpoint posture, VPN/ZTNA, home-office hygiene.
k) Third Party Risk
Critical suppliers, due diligence, contract/security expectations.
l) Cyber Awareness Training & Culture
Staff training, phishing simulations, leadership tone.
m) Incident Response & Business Continuity
Runbooks, roles, communications, backups-as-recovery.
